week9 thing23

Firstly I wanted to thank you for this grogramme and for your kind assistance. You guided me so well through this challenge and thanks to your efforts even I have a clue what all the kids are doing out there in the big wide web. Even if it's only a glimpse.
I learned quite a bit I would say, blogging seems to be my second nature and there are so many more things I know now about, some of which I haven't had the faintest idea that they existed. If someone is mentioning flickr now or youTube, you know, thanks to you guys, I'm the absolute expert. And there must be quite a few accounts out there in my name now. I might even impress my daughter.
I thought it was quite a challenge to do this programme in this time frame, especially since I never ever take some 'work' home. But it seems I made it to the end and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you again.

week9 thing22

I liked that exercise a lot better than the last one. I managed to open another account and had a look around Netlibrary. It was all very well. I found a few titles I added to my favourites and I managed to find my way round that site. I was especially impressed with the German option of the site. Althoug i couldn't spot any German ebooks. Never mind. That was a very nice exercise and I edged my way closer to the end if I hopefully get another credit here.
Also it has to be said that I would very much prefer real books, the old-fashioned sort made of paper to ebooks. But that wasn't part of exercise. And I'm glad it was only optional to go to amazon, because amzon wouldn't be my most favourite website. I blame them partly for the decline of good old-fashioned book shops all over the place I like so much. But that is an alltogether different topic.

week9 thing21

Podcasts were probably the thing I felt for some reason most uncomfortable with. It wasn't a fun exercise for me. I had a look at Podcast.net, Podcastalley.com and Yahoo Podcast and where ever I went I had problems to find something I could look at without any installation demands. So i hope I managed to get the Yahoo rss feed to my bloglines account. Others than that this exercise left me a bit frustrated. I hope i still get a tick, because otherwise I have to go back there and get even more frustrated and we don't want that, do we?
